She is a freelance writer for various publications including "JAKES Magazine" and "Island Life." Ms. Weathers enjoys writing, oil painting, beachcombing, sailing, jet skiing, snow skiing, the shag dance, and reading. She is an exhibiting member of Islands Art Gallery and a Licensed Realtor with Carolina One Real Estate. Illustrated by Bob Thames Bob is an artist from Charleston, South Carolina. His family has been in the Lowcountry for many generations. Mr. Thames lives in Charleston with his wife, Karen, and daughter, Amy. He is employed with Charleston County.

Tentative booksignings: EDUCATORS:Hermy the Hermit Crab Goes Shopping© is included in the Social Studies Program, Grade 3 South Carolina Pupil's Edition textbook published by Harcourt School Publishers. Schools may order books from The Reading Source in Anderson, SC. I enjoy speaking and reading to students K through 6th grade. Each presentation is 25 to 45 minutes. My goal is to encourage and inspire our South Carolina students to read, write, and be creative. There is no fee to local Charleston area schools - only the opportunity to sell books. I charge $100.00 for out of area schools for my presentation and the opportunity for students and staff to order books and plush Hermy. I will read one book according to grade level.
